Description: The Piranha Swim Team is centered around four levels. The Novice, Bronze, Silver and Gold groups each represent their own particular level of participation and performance. These groups are for swimmers who are competing, or would like to compete. The Novice pillar is generally considered the entry point for swimmers and can be characterized by minimum expectations and participation. The focus is on swimming technique and training habits. This is an instructional level that focuses on the basic fundamentals of all four competitive strokes. Practice for this level is focused on refining techniques of all four strokes with emphasis on kicking, stroke drills, body position, starts and turns. The minimal requirement is to swim one length of the pool unassisted. In order to progress at a satisfying pace, we recommend a minimum of three practices per week. There is an $85 annual fee for this course. The ad-on fee covers USA Swimming Registration ($62 per year) and swimmers will also receive
