We continue our focus on public health and safety this month, and as we make preparations for our annual Public Safety Expo taking place on May 18th, I wanted to take a minute to express my sincere gratitude for the City of Moreno Valley’s first responders.
In times of crisis and calm alike, they stand ready to serve, putting the needs of others before their own.
Our firefighters rush into danger, risking their lives to protect lives and property. Our police officers vigilantly patrol our streets, ensuring peace and security for our residents and businesses. And the incredible emergency medical personnel provide critical, life-saving care with true compassion and skill.
Their unwavering dedication, selflessness, and bravery are the cornerstone of our community's safety and well-being. And while the value of their service shines brightest in the midst of the most challenging moments, we don’t have to wait for a 9-1-1 moment or crisis to appreciate what they do. We can take time out of our day to show our first responders how much we appreciate their service, their care, and the sacrifices they make every day to keep us safe. You might be surprised by the impact that a simple smile, a handshake, or a few kind words can have on their day.
They are the true heroes and guardians of our city, and we are forever grateful for their steadfast commitment to keeping us safe.
On behalf of the entire city of Moreno Valley, I extend my deepest gratitude to our first responders for their tireless service and dedication.
I hope to see all of you at the Public Safety Expo, on May 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. along Calle de San Juan de Dos Lagos at the Civic Center. For more information, visit moval.org/parks.
