The San Bernardino City Unified School District invites students and parents to the Community Technology Connection event on Saturday, August 23 at Indian Springs High School, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Community Technology Connection is a chance for students and parents to try the latest tablets and smart devices and watch free demonstrations of the devices’ features.
“Why hold an event like this? That’s simple,” said Dr. Kennon Mitchell, the assistant superintendent of Student Services. “We want parents and students to understand the technology and be able to make informed decisions about which technology will help them succeed in school. Students may be using one or more of these smart devices in their classrooms, and we want their input before we make additional purchases.”
The Community Technology Connection is not about selling these products. In fact, nothing will be on sale during the event. This event is designed only to provide demonstrations and information so parents, students, and the District can make informed decisions about the technology that will be powering students’ education in the years to come.
Indian Springs High School is located at 650 North Del Rosa Drive in San Bernardino. For more information, call (909) 381-1126.
