The very popular "Forrest of Hope", given annually by the members of the Inland Empire Chapter of Childhelp is having final details put into place and tickets are now available.  The anticipated event will mark its 18th year and promises to be a worthwhile way to spend an afternoon full of fun and purpose benefiting the children living at the Merry Griffin Village and the National Childhelp program.  The Merv Griffin Village has presently 84 children who live there who have been removed from their biological homes by the court system due to neglect and/or abuse by their biological families.  Money raised goes toward providing sports equipment, holiday parties, Easter baskets, social outings, Christmas gifts and special clothing and project supplies.  The National program is helped by monies to provide their promotion of education and awareness in the treatment of child abuse. This year's event is titled "A VELVET CHRISTMAS" And will be held on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the National Orange Show Events Center's "Valencia Room", gate 9.  Included with the beautiful trees, decorations and entertainment will be a luncheon.  Fabulous door prizes will be awarded with both a silent and a live auction .  Jen Lilley will be the Master of Ceremonies.  Entertainment will include music by the Rio Hondo Electronic Ensemble and a special performance by the children from Merv Griffin Village. Anyone interested in more information or wishing to purchase tickets may phone Peggy Brier at (909)  936-2130.
