SAN BERNARDINO>> Author T’ana Phelice will be coming to the San Bernardino Public Library to discuss her books and present workshops Sept. 17.
Phelice was born and raised in San Bernardino by a single mother and attributes her work to the life she lived. According to her website, she grew up as a child who experienced poverty, encountered violence and watched her mother struggle through abusive relationships. As a young adult she found herself mirroring the generation before her, which she said prompted the need for change.
Phelice is the author of Jaded Diamonds, Pigs or Pearls, and a children’s book, Bratty Tatty: Liddo Kiddo's Raps&Riddles.
Phelice will also be doing presentations on self-esteem, resume-building, and interview preparation following the book discussion. Her books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
The free program will take place in Kellogg Room A at the Feldheym Central Library at 555 W. 6th Street in San Bernardino from 1-3 p.m.
