SAN BERNARDINO>> On Sunday August 6, Jeremiah Gerky of San Bernardino allegedly confiscated illegally a go-kart from the Redlands Amusement Park Splash Kingdom and drove it to a San Bernardino movie theater parking lot where he was using it to harass the security officers in the parking lot. The movie theater at E and Fourth streets was where the police apprehended the suspect and arrested him on suspicion of grand theft and then proceeded to take possession of the go-kart, which was later returned to Splash Kingdom. The powder blue go-cart identified by the number 19 on the hood was stolen from a fenced in area at the Park on Sunday evening. The movie theater is approximately 6 miles from the scene of the crime, and Gerky took 2 hours driving time to get there.
Gerky was booked at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga with a bail set at $50,000. Gerky was on probation at the time of this new incident.
