Library Receives Upgrade

SAN BERNARDINO>> The San Bernardino Public Library’s public access catalog of materials offers a new look including book jackets of recently added materials as part of several recent upgrades to the library’s electronic resources offered to its patrons. The catalog, also available through the library website at www.sbpl.org, now features scrolling book jackets of recently added books including Overdrive eBook and Audiobooks, which are also now integrated into the catalog. Overdrive has recently re-designed its website and added various improvements. The Overdrive site, which includes best-selling authors and titles, can be accessed directly or via the library website or catalog. The library’s website also has a new look. “We’d encourage the public to review these electronic resources to see their new look including how the Overdrive eBooks and Audiobooks are even easier to use,” said Library Ed Erjavek. “On the website re-design, I’d like to thank the library’s Webmaster Linda Puetz for her considerable time and efforts and also city Senior IT Analyst Glenn Cline and city Manager of Communications Monica Lagos for their assistance with this project.” Library locations and other information are also available at the library’s website.
