Students perform at First Annual District Band Festival at Moreno Valley High School.
One school band makes for a concert. But all the district’s middle- and high-school school bands together in one place qualifies as a festival – the First Annual District Band Festival, to be precise, which rocked the Moreno Valley High School gym recently.
There were 9 schools that participated in this year’s band festival. The event was put on to simply showcase Moreno Valley’s High School Band program. MVUSD schools produced some darned good musicians, and the crowd agreed! There were several hundred people who came on Thursday April 17, 2014 to check out the talented students and hear some band music.
All the music directors collaborated to create the exhibition.
