The cyclist was struck from the rear by a vehicle also traveling northbound on E Street within the #2 lane. The cyclist was thrown from his bicycle as a result of the collision. The cyclist was later pronounced deceased at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. The driver of the striking vehicle stopped at the scene. The cause is under investigation.
