East Valley Water Distirct's Employee Association was honored to donate backpacks and school supplies to students at Hunt Elementary School. It's one of several ways that EVWD has shown its support for its adoptive school.

On Aug. 21, the East Valley Water District (EVWD) officially adopted Hunt Elementary School in San Bernardino. Although Thursday was the official adoption ceremony, EVWD had already stepped up to support Hunt students by donating backpacks and school supplies for the new school year. As the year continues, EVWD will also be supporting the school’s parent night activities and inviting students to tour the EVWD facilities and garden, school officials said. This is not a one-way partnership. East Valley Water District may be adopting Hunt Elementary School, but the staff and students want to give something back. Hunt students will be learning about water responsibility and conservation so they can help EVWD keep the water flowing for San Bernardino. Hunt Elementary School educates approximately 680 students. The school is located at 1342 Pumalo Street in San Bernardino.
