
The Community Foundation Announces New CFO and Two New Board Members

The Community Foundation which serves Inland Southern California (Riverside and San Bernardino Counties) is pleased to announce that Tamara “Tami” Sipos has been selected as the new Chief Financial Officer of the Board of Directors effective January 1, 2018. Sipos will succeed outgoing CFO, Pat Spafford. The Foundation also welcomes the addition of two new board members, Dr. Dora Barilla and Marco Robles, who will serve four-year terms.
“We are very excited to have Ms. Sipos as our new Board Chief Financial Officer and to add two exceptional leaders to our Board,” said Paula Myles, Interim President and CEO of The Community Foundation. “Each new Board Member brings additional knowledge, skills and and experiences to the Foundation. They will help us continue to build a culture of philanthropy in the vast two-county region we serve.”
Tami Sipos is the Chief Financial Officer at CryoWorks, Inc. In addition to joining The Community Foundation in 2015, she became the Board President of the Riverside Community College District Foundation, where she continues to serve. Her professional associations include ProVisors and the Inland Empire Estate Planning Seminar. Ms. Sipos holds a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University, San Bernardino and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and Accredited Estate Planner (AEP).
Dr. Dora Barilla is the Executive Leader of Community Investment for Providence St. Joseph Health, President of HC2 Strategies, and Senior Fellow for the Institute for Health Policy and Fellowship at Loma Linda University Health. She is also the Founder and Chair for a not-for-profit organization, Partners for Better Health, promoting health initiatives in communities. Dr. Barilla has spent the last two decades putting healthcare plans in place that are strategic, effective, and creative.
Marco Robles is the Public Affairs Director for Cardenas Markets where he is responsible for all corporate public communications and community benefit activities. Mr. Robles also serves as Chairman of the Inland Empire Economic Partnership, Member of the Hispanic Advisory Council for Coca Cola of North America, Board Member of the Chaffey College Foundation, and President Advisory Committee Member to University of La Verne. Prior to joining Cardenas Markets, he served 14 years as Council Member and Interim Mayor in the City of Pomona, California.
