Sylva Named President Elect of CCCSIA

SBVC Sports Information Specialist, Brian Sylva, was recently named the President Elect for the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) at the Summer Meeting held at Citrus College. The CCCSIA is a statewide professional services organization which represents all Sports Information Directors at the California Community College level. Sylva is the first Foothill Conference representative to be elected to the Executive Board since Dr. Glenn Haller (2001-2005) from Antelope Valley College and after a three-year term as President Elect, Sylva will rotate into the roll as President of the CCCSIA. He is also the Sports Information Director for the Foothill Athletic Conference. Jason Kehler from Santa Ana College rotated from President to Past President and Andrew Wheeler from Citrus College rotated from President Elect to President of the CCCSIA. Other CCCSIA Executive Board members that were elected at the Summer Meeting included Alyssa Olveda from El Camino College who was elected as the Part-Time Representative, Porterville College Athletic Director, Eric Mendoza, was elected as the Northern California Representative and Brent Shaver from Irvine Valley College was elected as Secretary/Publicist. All positions are three-year terms.
