Guns to Construction Materials

In an effort to reduce violence associated with firearms the San Bernardino Police Department’s SWAT Team and Evidence Technicians today destroyed approximately 1,000 firearms that had been confiscated during criminal investigations that were conducted over the last several months. The firearms that were melted down in accordance with State and Federal laws will be turned into structural steel that can be used for various construction projects throughout the area.
