San Manuel recently celebrated it’s Hispanic Heritage Night with EWF Wrestling Action. The 66ers beat the Modesto Nuts with a final score of 10 to 6. For the first match of the night, a wrestler named Power Ranger went up against wrestler R.J. Ruiz. Power Ranger started off by working with the crowd in an attempt to receive cheers. As Ruiz gazed upon the crowd, the Ranger took the opportunity to attack him from behind and throw him outside of the ring and onto the cement floor. After 6 minutes, Ruiz slammed the Ranger to the mat with a hip throw and pinned him down for the win. The next match presented Flecha Fugaz versus Night Zion the Night Stalker. Flecha Fugaz, a veteran of Mexican and California mat wars, attacked Zion. After attempting a dropkick, Zion fell back on the mat. Flecha jumped and landed on top of him and was able to pin him down. Referee Nick Lara counted Night Zion the Night Stalker out and Flecha was declared winner of the match. The next match was set for the Fighting Friar Juan Roman and Uptown Andy Brown. Friar Juan Roman attacked Uptown Andy Brown as soon as he tried to enter the ring, but Uptown Andy Brown was prepared. As they met in the middle of the ring, the Friar unleashed a kick to Andy’s head; Andy fell backward and the Friar went for a pin. However, Andy powered out of it, and for the next few minutes, both of them took turns slamming one another into all four corners of the ring. At one point the Friar launched a flying body press on Brown, but missed and flew halfway across the ring. At the 10 minute mark, Andy missed a hip throw and the Friar tripped and pinned him down. The referee somehow missed the fact that both of the Friar’s feet were on the ropes which was helping him pin Andy. The Friar was booed all the way to the dressing room. Then, for the main event were tag teams wrestling against each other. Representing the Triangle of Terror team was Raccid Najjar and Abu the Terrible against Misterioso Jr. and El Gran Maravilla. After about 20 minutes of constant fighting in and outside of the ring, the high flying Luchadores finally threw Raccid and Abu back inside. Then, Misterioso and Maravilla climbed on to the top of the ring posts and dove on to both Raccid and Abu and pinned them down for the win. EWF returned to the San Bernardino Boys and Girls Club Saturday, July 19 for the opening match. Jeremy Jaeger was defeated by Patient Zero. The second match, Fidel Bravo defeated the masked Wolftanas. The third match of the evening, R.J. Ruiz defeated Jacob Tarasso. For the fourth match, Brandon Gatson returned in a revenge match against leader of the Triangle of Terror, Raccid Najjar, and won. The fifth match presented Raunchy Rico who defeated the High Flying Mexican Luchador sensation from Mexico City, Misterioso Jr. The final match was a six men tag team match with “Ironman” Mike Maze, Uptown Andy Brown and Richie Slade defeating the ferocious team of Friar Juan Roman, Brute Barreto and Mr. Entertainment Joey Barone.
