On Saturday, Feb. 6 at around 8:55 p.m., deputies from the Central Station responded to a residential call on the 6900 block of N. Barton Road in San Bernardino, following the report of a home invasion robbery. Upon arrival, deputies were informed that a male subject, later identified as Juan Corral, made entry into the victim’s residence through a bedroom window. Corral reportedly, walked into the living room area of the residence and pointed a rifle at the residents while they were watching television. In initial fear for their lives, the victims soon recognized the weapon as their own pellet gun. The victim then confronted the suspect and was able to take the pellet gun from Corral and demanded he leave his home. Juan Corral fled the location on foot prior to the deputies’ arrival. The victim called dispatch and gave a description of the suspect. Deputy Gapik located the suspect at the corner of Baseline Road and Barton Road. Juan Corral was positively identified and found to be in possession of the victim’s stolen property. Corral was booked into Central Detention Center for PC 212.5 Home Invasion Robbery. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Central Station at (909) 387-3545. Callers wishing to remain anonymous are urged to call the We-Tip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME (27463) or you may leave information on the website at www.wetip.com.
