Southern California Sports Club Wins Big

SAN BERNARDINO>> On Wednesday, March 22, the Southern California Sports Club debuted a solid 2017 National Premier Soccer league and defeated the City of Angels FC 5-1. "I"m very happy we achieved the result that we desired and that we put away many of the chances we created," said Captain Eric Gonzalez. "It's a great starting point for the season, and we want to keep it going. We played well throughout the game, but we still have small things that we need to improve on during the season." Gonzales is one of several players returning from the club's 2016 inaugural campaign that started the team's season opener. In the previous game, Gonzales scored two of SoCal SC’s five goals against the Los Angeles-based expansion franchise. “I feel amazing to have scored twice in the season opener," Gonzalez said. "I wouldn't have been able to do it without the hard work of my teammates." After the great start, the roster resumes training at the San Bernardino Soccer Complex. The team is looking forward to its second NPSL match, the Inland Empire Clasico, against rival Deportivo Coras, next Saturday, on March 25th, at the Fairplex. “Deportivo Coras are a talented team and our Inland Empire rivals," Gonzales said. "I expect our team to be ready to start training on Monday. We have to be ready to compete on a daily basis and achieve better results."
