This weekend the SBD Fest was quite a success, which was held for the third time at SBIA airport in San Bernardino. The people came from all over to see the many attractions that were presented during the Fest’s weekend operation. Some of the attractions included a concert stage which was gutted from an old commercial 737 airplane that provided five different bands a place to perform their musical acts, Empire Wrestling Federation wrestlers providing intense matches during the daytime as planes fly over, and SB Strong Plane Pull pitting law enforcement officers against firefighters in a test of strength. The winners of the 90 second plane pulling contest, which was won by the law enforcement officers a year ago, with a pull of 239 feet in two minutes; hopefully will produce a serious amount of money from the pledges on each team to go toward the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. Mike Burrows, executive director said, “he is proud of the continue support from the local communities in this event and the sponsors such as San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, State Brothers, and Toyota who have been ongoing partners in the event. I’m sure next year will be just as entertaining.
