SAN BERNARDINO>> On Sept. 8, Community Hospital of San Bernardino and St. Bernardine Medical Center Foundations, in conjunction with the Women of Dignity Health, will recognize Dr. Margaret Hill, recently named the 2016 “Woman of the Year.” Established in 2014, the Women of Dignity Health is a women’s only donor club that supports Dignity Health’s two Inland empire hospital foundations. “Dr. Hill is a true community advocate who has been a supporter of Community Hospital and St. Bernardine for many years,” said June Collison, President of Dignity Health – Community Hospital of San Bernardino. “I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this accolade than one who gives so freely of her time to improve our community.” Hill is currently a board member with the San Bernardino City Unified School District and trustee for the Community Hospital of San Bernardino Foundation. She began teaching at San Bernardino High School in 1971 and retired in 2012 as the assistant superintendent of Administrative Services. Additionally, she continues to be involved in the community with memberships to several San Bernardino organizations including the Kiwanis of Greater San Bernardino, Highland’s Woman’s Club and more. The event will take place at the Rezek Centre, located on the St. Bernardine Medical Center campus, 2101 N. Waterman Avenue, San Bernardino from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. The event is free of charge to current members of Women of Dignity Health, while admission for non-members is $35. Lunch will be served during the event. For more information on this event and the Women of Dignity Health, please call 909.881.4516 or email PhilanthropyIE@dignityhealth.org.
