Stater Bros. Markets, in conjunction with its charitable arm Stater Bros. Charities, will be “Harvesting Hope In Our Community” throughout the months of November and December.
Stater Bros. Charities is presenting cash donations totaling over $450,000 to food banks and feeding programs in the six Southern California counties served by Stater Bros. Supermarkets.
Food Donation Barrels are in place at all Stater Bros. Supermarkets to collect nonperishable food items for those who are struggling. To make donating easier for shoppers, specially produced grocery bags containing critical food bank necessities are available for less than $10.
Customers can make additional cash donations at the time of check out, and these funds will be donated to local food banks in the summer of 2015, when their food reserves are traditionally low.
The traditional Salvation Army Red Kettles will be in front of Stater Bros. Supermarkets from Nov. 17 through Dec. 23 collecting nickels, dimes and quarters to help those who are most vulnerable in the community where the donations are made.
