One-man show Duffy Hudson presented the classic "A Christmas Carol" at the San Bernardino Public Library on Saturday, Nov. 22. Huffy put on a free 75-minute show for attending community members. Hudson's talent did not go unrecognized as he played all 46 characters from the classics, including: Ebenezer Scrooge, Jacob Marley, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim and The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. "This event was a popular one, about 55 people came... we'll most likely do it again next year," San Bernardino Public Library Program Coordinator Linda Yeh said. "Hudson's been here before doing Edgar Allsn Poe and he's great, so when I heard he did 'A Christmas Carol,' I knew he'd be amazing." Not only did Hudson perform without any other actors by his side, he also performed without the aid of props or costumes. Hudson is an actor, director, writer, teacher and filmmaker. He has performed in hundreds of plays and has directed over 300 theatrical pieces, including workshop productions with Brooke Shields, The Three Sisters with Jessica Lange, Don Johnson and Tatum O’Neal, and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf with Marlo Thomas. Since turning his attention to film and television, he has performed in numerous commercials, including the award-winning, Men in Black series for Penn Station. Feature film credits include, among others, Tattered Angel, Canvas The Night, Skin Complex, and The Greater Good. Yeh shared, "The mission of the San Bernardino Public Library is to provide free access to the world of ideas, information and creative experience for all citizens of San Bernardino." "Hudson brought all of the above to the community. He's an 'all in one' kind of deal," she added.
