Over three hundred of the neediest children in the Inland Empire received a brand new pair of shoes and two ball caps through Head 2 Toe- one of Santa Claus, Inc.’s many programs that serve children. Recipients and their families were invited by partner service organizations including the San Bernardino Police Department and the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department. Each child chose two ball caps from a large selection of colors and styles. A group of volunteers waited for guests to take a seat and be measured for their accurate shoe size. Guests were encouraged to stay after they received their shoes and hats for a raffle that gifted over 70 toys, including three bicycles complete with helmets. Officer Walton and Officer Martin of the San Bernardino Police Department conducted the raffle and took their time with each child as they carefully picked their new toy. Head 2 Toe aims to give children confidence in themselves by providing basic essentials. Shoes and hats provide comfort and security. This program will distribute total of 27,000 pairs of shoes and 70,000 hats.
