San Bernardino Rotary North has announced that they will feature Judith Valles as guest speaker at their luncheon meeting held on Thursday, November 2 at Arrowhead Country Club at noon.

The public is especially invited to hear her insightful talk on her childhood in San Bernardino, her later successes and, most importantly, what she learned from her mother. It is a talk that will touch everyone as she recounts her loving Mexican immigrant parents, Gonzalo and Jovita Valles teaching the life skills she has lived by.

The biography of accomplishments for Ms Valles is long. As the first Hispanic mayor of a city with a population over 100,000, she gained nationwide attention. She was elected for two terms. Ms Valles has included in her resume vast community service and work as an educator and administrator, receiving numerous awards in recognition of her service and leadership. She tells her story with ease and humor.

The cost of the lunch is $15, and the meeting begins promptly at noon. It is recommended that guests arrive at 11:45. Her popular book, “AS MY MOTHER WOULD SAY; COMO DECIA ME MAMA” will be available for purchase and happily autographed.

For reservations or questions, please phone Rotary North president, Dee Williams, at 909 883-9001 or 909 841-9644.
