In addition to the Walk around the warning track of the baseball field, activities will include a free Pet Play Area presented by Dances with Dogs Training center, exciting raffle prizes, vendor village, food, music provided by Mike Medina Entertainment, SBPD K-9 Unit demo and more! Don’t forget to sign your pet up for the Pet Contests when you arrive. This year’s categories include: Happiest, Best Kisser, Best Trick, Best Catch, Fluffiest and Best Dressed Male & Female. The HSSBV will also be honoring local pets with their Pet Hero Award Recognition Ceremony. Please visit www.hssbv.org to find out how to nominate a pet. Each walker will receive a Goodie Bag (while supplies last) with free merchandise and coupons for both pets and people! Scheduled to emcee this year’s Pet Contests will be NBC4 Southern California, Inland Empire News Bureau Chief and Reporter, Tony Shin. Shin will also be presenting the Pet Hero Awards. Shin is an Emmy award-winning reporter, primarily covering stories originating from the Inland Empire. He can be seen on the NBC4 news at noon, 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Walk brochures are available for pick up at the HSSBV (374 W Orange Show Road, San Bernardino). Walkers can also create their own custom fundraising page by visiting www.hssbv.org. The more you raise, the more prizes you earn. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Humane Society’s Cruelty Investigation and Humane Education programs. Sponsors for the Walk for the Animals include Bayer Animal Health and PK Design.
