Have you ever wondered where your next meal is coming from? For many it’s a constant concern. In San Bernardino and Riverside County, more than 400,000 men, women and children each month rely on food banks to make ends meet. With the current state of our economy, non-profit organizations need the help of community members more than ever. Arrowhead United Way (AUW) is issuing a call to action to our schools, businesses, organizations and community to lend a helping hand by donating nonperishable food items to the AUW’s Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Items can be dropped off at AUW’s office located at 646 North D. Street San Bernardino, CA 92401 between the hours of 8:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. Items needed include: • Turkey (Frozen) • Ham (Canned, Frozen) • Canned Vegetables • Canned Fruit • Canned Yams • Canned Cranberry Sauce • Stuffing • Mashed Potatoes/Bag of Potatoes • Canned Gravy • Canned Milk • Dried Beans • Rice • Pasta • Bread Rolls • Bottled Water/Juice • Canned Pumpkin • Pie Crust • Foil Pans • Spices/Sugar • Grocery Store Gift Cards Items will be accepted until Wednesday, Nov. 18.
