This summer, the City of San Bernardino Parks & Recreation Department is dishing-out fun, family activities that are sure to delight. Events kicked off Memorial Day Weekend and are scheduled to continue through early November. With swim classes, lunch programs, festivals, baseball games and themed movie nights in the park - there is something for everyone to enjoy! In order to serve the diverse community of San Bernardino, Parks and Recreation offers several different programs, at various locations, days and times. With Pee Wee sports and swim programs, kids can stay active during the summer break and learn about the importance of physical activity and nutritional education. Families can get involved in park clean ups and cultural events in the parks. "In the City of San Bernardino, we are committed to keeping our community healthy by offering educational workshops and vigorous outdoor activities and recreation for residents of all ages," Mayor R. Carey Davis said. "The purpose for our service is just that – the community, and I invite all residents and visitors of San Bernardino to attend one or all of these events." With school out for the summer and temperatures heating up, Parks and Recreation invites you to attend their low and no-cost events and continue to support and strengthen San Bernardino through community involvement. These fun, family-friendly outings are sure to provide local entertainment throughout the summer months and beyond while building a stronger community connection for the citizens of San Bernardino.
