On February 6th, S.O.A.R. (School of Outstanding Academic Results) soared into Payless Shoes Store to host an event that donates shoes to the parents and children of S.O.A.R. who are really in need of shoes. Tammi Fort, founder of S.O.A.R. says, "People have a wide range in income and kids go through shoes really easily." S.O.A.R. has been around for 6 years and has continued to make a huge impact in the community of San Bernardino. It is a school that takes in students ranging from Kindergarten to the 8th grade. S.O.A.R. has served over 100 families and has carried out other outstanding events such as Thanksgiving basket donations and Sweets for Soldiers where they send candy to soldiers who are unable to spend Halloween with their families. The students of S.O.A.R. are required to participate in community projects. The great and prodigal S.O.A.R. will continue to serve their local community.
