On Feb. 3 San Bernardino Valley College Football (SBVC) sophomore offensive lineman Brandon Pacheco (Rialto H.S.) has signed a letter of intent with Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Although Pacheco is an offensive guard, he did grab a tackle in the season opener against the Santa Barbara City Vaqueros. Under second-year coach John Shipp, SBVC finished with a record 9-2 overall and 6-1 in conference. As a reward for winning the American Division-Mountain Conference title and going to the Golden State Bowl, Coach Shipp was handed Coach of the Year honors. This is the first Coach of the Year award for head coach John Shipp who guided SBVC as the top three scoring team in the state and his offensive juggernaut was consistently ranked throughout the year, averaging 41.4 points per game. As a reward for their winning record, the team was bestowed with six first team All-Mountain Conference honors and eight second team All-Mountain Conference honors. Concordia University is located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The Concordia Stingers play at Concordia Stadium, and the team is coached by second-year coach, Mickey Donovan. In the 2015 season, the Stingers went 4-4 in conference play, with an overall record of 5-5. The Stingers ended the 2015 season in fourth place in Conference, losing in the first round of the playoffs. CU is in the Quebec Student Sport Federation (RSEQ) of Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS).
