The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley (HSSBV) hosted the Keaton Simons Benefit Show on Sept. 19. This was the second time the Humane Society invited Keaton Simons out to perform for a benefit show. Jill Henderson, HSSBV’s Development & Community Outreach Coordinator, who was in charge of the night's festivities said, “…the show sold out last year, so we decided to bring it back.” The night started out with hor d’oeuvres and refreshments provided by HSSBV. The show was very intimate with only a limited amount of seating. Audience members consisted of long-time supporters of the HSSBV, friends of Keaton Simons, and local community members. The show started promptly at 8 p.m. when Simons performed some of his songs from his new album, Beautiful Pain, including Inspiration, Hearts Don’t Break Themselves, and of course, Beautiful Pain. Simons provided the audience with live music and great entertainment, ending the night with a popular cover of a song that he performed the year before. The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley hosts many events such as this one to support the needs of the animals. Their next event will be a Casino Night & Dog House Auction held on Saturday, Oct. 18. Not only does the HSSBV host events to support the animals, but they also have a regular veterinary clinic where owners can bring their pets for a variety of pet care services.
