Assemblymember Eloise Gómez Reyes (D-San Bernardino) held a State of the 47th District event at San Bernardino Valley College. The event was attended by elected officials, community partners and advocates as well as friends and family. The State of the 47th event was held on the one-year anniversary of Assemblymember Reyes being sworn in to the Legislature. The event highlighted the progress being made on important issues throughout the Inland Empire but especially in the 47th District.

The program highlighted the 60 community events hosted by the Assemblymember and the numerous events she attended.  Assemblymember Reyes highlighted her legislative success with 8 bills signed by Governor in her first year in office.

“When elected, I promised that as your representative I would prioritize obtaining more resources and opportunities for the Inland Empire and that I would fight to protect some of our state’s District’s most vulnerable,” said Assemblymember Reyes. “In my first year, with your help we were successful in many areas, but we must rise to the expectations of our better selves to continue to bring back the resources this community needs.”

The presentation included musical performances from Chris Peters from Colton and Timesha Clark from Rialto.
