Arson Suspected in Vacant Duplex Lot Fire

REDLANDS>> On Tuesday, March 14, firefighters responded to a structure fire at a vacant duplex in the 200 block of East Sharon Road. The incident occurred at about 10:30 a.m. Arson is suspected to be the cause of the fire at the vacant duplex. A coordinated aggressive interior attack and ventilation of the roof resulted in the fire being rapidly extinguished within approximately 10 minutes. Crews remained on scene for approximately an hour for salvage, overhaul operations and investigation. San Bernardino County and Loma Linda Fire departments and American Medical Response also responded and staged crews to provide support. No injuries were reported, and no leads of possible suspects have been considered.
