Washington is broken and career politicians continue to add crippling amounts of debt to future generations while smothering job creators and hardworking Americans. As a military officer I took an oath to protect American families from threats regardless of party affiliation. If elected, I will always do what’s right and will continue to fight for a brighter America. You have my word. I’ll cut the red tape that’s hurting so many small businesses across the Inland Empire and work to promote common sense solutions that help create good paying jobs for everyone. I own my own business, and I can say with certainty that today’s economy is the hardest economy our country has seen in decades. Hardworking Americans are asked to balance their own budgets every single day - and the government should be no different. A strong economy is the foundation for a prosperous nation, but we can do more. Children need safer streets, effective education, positive role models, and hope that one day they can succeed as adults. Serving on California’s parole board I've worked to ensure that hardened criminals behind bars stay there, where they belong. The truth is that we simply cannot handcuff our way out of the crime problem – that’s why I’ve spent over a decade in our children’s schools focusing on early gang and drug intervention efforts. Finally, we can no longer sit idly by while those who have given the most to our country are continuously ignored. Veterans are a national treasure and should be treated as such. As a LT Commander in the United States Navy, I served in Iraq and know firsthand many of the challenges our men and women face when returning home. Making sure out veterans have the resources and services they deserve is a number one priority for me. I've been proud to call San Bernardino County my home for over 40 years - and I believe our best days are ahead of us. With your help, we can make a difference.
