In recognition of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day in March the National Congress of Black Women-Inland Empire Chapter (NGBW-IEC) want to bring awareness to the Inland Empire. Although the wide-spread shock of HIV/AIDS has subsided, the disease is still a serious health issue. Since there is still no cure for the HIV/AIDS virus it is imperative that people be aware of the disease and the health risks it can cause. This year, NGBW-IEC is hosting an HIV/AIDS Awareness event March 1 in Moreno Valley. The event is entitled "HIV/AIDS: Take Action. Know Your Status. Share Knowledge". The event will feature a free rapid HIV testing, a crash course in HIV, and guest speakers to name a few. There will also be a raffle and giveaways. Women and girls of all ages are encouraged to attend.
