Meet Scout, part of the Machado Family Giving Family, and, our Hero.

In recent years, therapy dogs have become invaluable companions in various settings, particularly when it comes to supporting children facing emotional and psychological challenges. One such four-legged healer is Scout, a gentle dog whose mission is to bring comfort and joy to children's lives.

Scouts super power is presence and is so important to the Machado Family Giving , For many children, feelings of anxiety, stress, or loneliness can be overwhelming. Therapy dogs like Scout offer a unique form of emotional support that is non-judgmental and unconditional. The simple act of petting Scout can lower cortisol levels, reduce anxiety, and elevate mood. Scout's warm presence encourages children to express their feelings, fostering a safe environment for emotional exploration.

Scout is more than just a friendly companion; Scout is a catalyst for positive change in children's lives. Through emotional support, enhanced social skills, and lessons in responsibility, therapy dogs like Scout play a pivotal role in the development and well-being of children. As we continue to recognize the profound impact these canine companions have, we can ensure that more children experience the healing power of a therapy dog like scout
