Dignity Health Reaches More Than 62 Local Schools During Great Kindness Challenge

Third and fourth grade students participate in Dignity Health – St. Bernardine Medical Center’s Great Kindness Challenge event at Holy Rosary Academy. Hospital physicians and staff led the students in a teddy bear clinic to demonstrate the importance of showing kindness to patients and each other.

June Collison, President of Dignity Health – Community Hospital of San Bernardino leads Lincoln Elementary school students in the “Kindness Mini Medical School” on Thursday January 26. This is the third year Community Hospital has partnered the school during the Great Kindness Challenge, helping students accomplish many of the kind acts they worked to complete during the week.

On Thursday, January 26th Dignity Health – Community Hospital of San Bernardino hosted a “Kindness Mini Medical School” at Lincoln Elementary School with fifth grade students who had the opportunity to learn about specific hospital specialties, including surgery.

As part of the Great Kindness Challenge, Dignity Health – Community Hospital of San Bernardino hosted a “Kindness Mini Medical School” at Lincoln Elementary School. Fifth grade students had the opportunity to learn about specific hospital specialties, as hospital employees and physicians discuss the role that kindness has played in their careers, successes and lives.
