San Bernardino police are asking for the public's help in getting information regarding a man they believe is a suspect in three separate attempted ATM burglaries. Police are searching for a white male in his 30s, approximately 6 feet tall and with a thin build, who they believe is connected to the attempted burglary of a Chase ATM kiosk located at 1343 West Mill Street on three separate dates: Jan. 1, Jan. 4 and Jan. 5. Police say on Jan. 8 the suspect was confronted by a security guard as he attempted to gain entry into the ATM machine and told the security guard he was "just looking" at the kiosk. According to police, the man fled the scene in a white U-Haul van bearing an Arizona license plate AG11955. On Jan. 9, officials from the San Bernardino Police Patrol Division located the vehicle and found that the license plates did not belong to the van, which they found had been stolen in Rancho Cucamonga prior to the reported crimes, police said. Those with information are asked to contact Det. Jerry Hanes at 909-394-4824, or Sgt. Robert Sullivan at 909-394-5615.
