Local Baja Fresh Supports The SBVC Wolverines Football Team

San Bernardino (CA) - A strong team is built upon strong players, strong coaches, and a strong appetite for victory - and Baja Fresh, that is. For Dustin Currie, GM of the San Bernardino Baja Fresh, his love for the game of football is only surpassed by his love of quality food. Which is why he decided to support the San Bernardino Valley College Wolverines by providing meals to the team before their big home games.

Mary Lawler, Fundraiser Volunteer, and wife of Defensive Coordinator, Kenny Lawler, had reached out to the San Bernardino Baja Fresh team and asked if they would be willing to sponsor meals to the players and coaching staff. Understanding that some of the football players are students from out-of-state, and that a majority of them are living on a college-student budget, the Baja Fresh staff was more than willing to help out and support a local team.

Owners of Baja Fresh, along with their son and daughter-in-law, delivered the food themselves and served it to the players and staff before each home game. Dustin Currie said that “it has been a rewarding experience, plus I get to watch some great football afterwards.”

As a “locals-only” offer, Dustin Currie, is offering a 10% discount at the San Bernardino Baja Fresh location to everyone who presents this article.
