The American Red Cross is inviting the community to attend a volunteer opportunity fair on Sept. 14 at its San Bernardino headquarters. The fair offers local residents a chance to meet current Red Cross volunteers and learn about the variety of volunteer roles available within the organization. Examples include promoting preparedness, teaching life-saving skills such as CPR or first aid, working in shelters following disasters, assisting members of the armed forces, providing administrative support and much more. “Whether you’re a retiree, student, full-time employee or simply looking for a way to give back to your community, this is the place to start your volunteer experience with the Red Cross,” said Yevette Ramos, CEO of the American Red Cross in San Bernardino. The volunteer opportunity fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Red Cross facility, located at 202 West Rialto Avenue in San Bernardino. For more information, or to RSVP for the event, please contact Laura Greene at 909-888-1481 ext. 248, or email her at laura.greene@redcross.org.
