The SBVC Men’s Cross Country team was holding on to one of the most dominant streaks in SoCal having won the SoCal Championship the past eight straight times, but even with a 3rd place finish, they look strong going into the CCCAA State Finals, the top individual finisher for SBVC placed 12th in the four mile event, sophomore Anamacio Cardenas (Bloomington H.S.) with a time of 20:37.73. SBVC collected a score of 135 points at this event, finishing 42 points ahead of Cuesta College and 45 points behind the winner, College of the Canyons. The event was held at Woodley Park in Van Nuys. The next highest finisher for SBVC was sophomore Douglas Palmer (Beaumont H.S.) placing 21st with a time of 20:48.09 and placing 22nd was freshman Daniel Aguilera (Fontana Jurupa Hills) with a time of 20:49.14. Finishing 31st was sophomore Justin Doyle (San Bernardino Cajon) with a time of 21:01.14 and freshman Derek Barnett (Redlands East Valley) wrapped up the SBVC finishers with a time of 21:26.27, placing 49th.
