As 2025 fades into memory, the Inland Empire (IE) steps into 2026 with excitement, reflecting on the milestones of the past year and anticipating the opportunities that lie ahead. From the vibrant streets of Riverside to the scenic beauty of San Bernardino, the region is gearing up for a year filled with growth, unity, and fresh beginnings.

2025 was a year of transformation for the Inland Empire. Despite facing challenges like inflation and climate-related disruptions, the IE has thrived. The region has seen substantial investments in infrastructure, local businesses have flourished, and new industries have made their mark. The past year also witnessed continued community efforts to address homelessness, improve public transportation, and foster sustainability.

“We’ve made incredible strides, but we’re not stopping here,” said Riverside Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson. “2026 will be a year for even greater collaboration and innovation. I’m optimistic about the future of the Inland Empire and the exciting possibilities that lie ahead for our communities.”

From Ontario to Lake Arrowhead, residents and businesses alike are embracing the momentum of progress, with a clear focus on improving quality of life while retaining the region’s unique charm.

As 2026 begins, the Inland Empire is ready to celebrate in style. Whether you’re looking for family-friendly events, live music, or breathtaking fireworks, there’s something for everyone in the region.

In Riverside, the Fox Performing Arts Center will host its popular New Year’s Eve Gala, featuring live music and performances by local artists. The night will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display, lighting up the Riverside skyline as families and friends gather to ring in the new year.

San Bernardino will hold its annual New Year’s Eve celebration at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds, where attendees can enjoy food trucks, carnival games, and live entertainment. With its fun atmosphere and close-knit community feel, this event has become a favorite for families of all ages.

For those in Ontario, the Ontario Mills Mall is the place to be, with shopping, dining, and special sales to help you kick off the year in style. Whether you’re grabbing the latest fashion trends or enjoying a meal at one of the mall’s signature restaurants, this is the perfect way to start 2026 on a high note.

If you’re looking for a winter wonderland experience, Big Bear Lake and Lake Arrowhead are offering an unforgettable snow-filled celebration. The area’s ski resorts will feature special New Year’s Eve events, including fireworks over the mountains and cozy après-ski hangouts for those ready to relax and enjoy the season.
