In an effort to combat the unsolved homicide rate in San Bernardino, the investigative division has taken an innovative approach to soliciting public attention and assistance through investigative videos. SBPD is requesting media assistance through the sharing of the video and social media posts to help solve the murder of 25-year-old Oriana Taylor.

On 5/2/17, at approximately 10:02 p.m., the San Bernardino Police Department Dispatch received calls of a shooting in the area of Spruce Street and G Street. When officers arrived, they found a female shooting victim down near the sidewalk. The victim had suffered a gunshot wound and was non-responsive. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she later died.

Witnesses to the shooting indicate that the victim was standing in the street area when a vehicle pulled up and stopped. When the victim approached the car, she was shot. The vehicle was last seen driving west on Spruce Street. There were numerous witnesses in the area at the time of the shooting.
