San Bernardino Man Arrested for Sex Crimes Involving Children; Remains In-Custody

On Thrusday, March 14, 2024, deputies from the Sheriff's Central Station began a child sexual abuse investigation and identified the suspect as Joe Castillo. During the investigation, it was determined Castillo had been sexually assaulting two male juveniles between the ages of 12 and 17 years old. Both victims were known to the suspect. On Friday, March 15, 2024, at approximately 1:40 p.m., Deputy Olivares arrested Castillo for lewd acts with a minor under 14 years of age and oral copulation with a minor under 18 years of age. Joe Castillo was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and is currently being held without bail.
