T’ana Phelice was born and raised in the heart of San Bernardino. For her, it’s been all about humble beginnings. She and her siblings were raised by a single mother and a “sometimes” father. As a child she experienced poverty, encountered violence, and watched her mother struggle through abusive relationships. As a young adult she found herself mirroring the generation before her, which prompted the need for change. After a failed relationship, and feeling as though she had been reduced to nothing more than someone’s “baby mama,” she grew the nerve to share her poetry and short stories with others, hoping to uplift and inspire her community while also liberating herself. Little did she know, her aspirations would have her do that and much more. T’ana is currently working to establish her own non-profit organization, as well as a personalized poetry business, creating unique poems for special events and celebrations. In short, this statistic breaking minority is making reality of her dreams and has no problem breaking a few rules along the way. About T’ana’s Books: “Jaded Diamonds” is a series of stories from the lives of several women who are going through different trials and tribulations in their lives. Although this book is fictional, the lives of these women are closely related to the lives of women living in every day realities, from “baby daddy drama,” finding work and having multiple kids to raise, to trying to figure out how to afford to go to school. “Jaded Diamonds” is a book of redemption for women between the ages of 18 and 40. It’s a book that inspires life changes: just because you may be stuck in a rut right now, doesn’t mean that you will still there. Keep moving forward. Bratty Tatty is a sassy 6-year-old who will do anything in the name of fun. Fun may be switching off a light switch in the middle of class, or ruining a painting with a little splash! But of course, there is always a lesson to be learned. This is a fun, educating, and entertaining multi-cultural book that parents and their kids can read together to create more bonding time.
